Romance Project Update - Sept 25th

The Update...

:iconjarryplz: Sept. 25th
I sent out today
Seattle, Washington
Loveland, Colorado
Anaheim, California
Oakdale, California

My wife received, in the last few days
Hong Kong And a traditional good luck New Year's Envelope!
Montreal, Canada
And from Port Moody, BC.. Nancie sent a lovely picture in frame.
I must take a picture, and show you all how beautiful it is!

:icondeathhugplz: Sept. 15th
I'm closing in! The letters that are left to send are all within the continental US.
Some letters have begun arriving! Odd how some few in the same countries haven't arrived to you yet, and others are already back here! Mail systems are really strange. There really was no way to do any kind of coordination.

Arrived!...

England, Yorkshire, and Northampton
Brazil, Belo Horizonte, and Porto Alegre
Belgium, Diksmuide
France, Sceaux
Sweden, Billesholm
Estonia, Harjumaa
And
Croatia, Zagreb - I'd like to thank you Antun, for such a touching letter.
Odd, Elizabetta, also in Zagreb, got hers almost a week earlier, and it still isn't here yet.

:iconjarryplz: Sept. 6th
I wrote out the notes, etc. to;
Ontario, Canada - 14
Port Moody, Canada - Stanza 15
I WAS going to mail them, but I met my WIFE in the Post Office!
Oh, just checking the mail!

She got the first letter back yesterday too!
Sceaux, France - Stanza 23
Some that I sent a week earlier haven't even gotten there yet!

I sent the letters to;
Montreal, Canada - 16
Guaynabo, Puerto Rico - 17
Queretaro, Mexico - 18

:iconeyeplz: Aug. 31st
People have started receiving the letters! :w00t: Those of you in the US and Canada... I will be sending them out Tuesday, if everything goes as planned! There was a bit of a snag when my envelopes got wet, and all stuck together. I salvaged some of them. :faint:

Here is my wish to you all.

You'll be a magnet for money.
You'll be a magnet for love.
You'll feel right in your body.
Your spirit will feel content.

:iconbigheartplz: Aug 25th
I mailed the letters to Europe and South America today!

Belo Horizonte, Brazil - Stanza 19
Porto Allegre, Brazil - 20
Northampton, England - 21
Yorkshire, England - 22
Sceaux, France - 23
Dresden, Germany - 24
San Quirico, Italy - 25
Diksmuide, Belgium - 26
Billesholm, Sweden - 27
Jyvaskyla, Finland - 28
Tallinn, Estonia - 29

AND Someone sent me their address in Hong Kong! :w00t:
So I sent a regular love letter there.

I don't mean to insult those of you who have offered to pay the postage, but I've forgotten who needed it. So, even though it may be useless to you, I'm including a US Dollar in each letter. Save it, spend it, since who knows when it will be worth anything again. Your help is worth so much more than that to me. Don't worry, I'm using my still smoking penalty jar. That's where I put a dollar a pack I still smoke. When I quit, I'll use it for something non-smoking fun/healthy. Maybe a retirement investment, or something.

:iconbigheartplz: Aug 22nd
I mailed the second batch of letters today! Half-way to the other side of the Earth! I figured, since Eastern Europe is a bit farther, I should send them a bit earlier.

Moniuszki, Poland - Stanza 30
Zagreb, Croatia - 31
Zagreb, Croatia - 32 (Different people...)
Sofia, Bulgaria - 33

I will mail all of Western Europe at one time. Probably Monday, unless I can get a few done tonight, and make it to the post office tomorrow. Wait! I would need some other excuse to go to town, so Monday is probably better.

:iconspinplz: Aug 20th
I mailed the first batch of letters today! The five to the other side of the Earth!

Kalbarri, Australia - Stanza 38
Kelantan, Malaysia - 37
Manila, Philippines - 36
Singapore, Malay Peninsula - 35
Montagu, South Africa - 34

You know who you are, I assume. According to Steve, they should arrive to you around this time next week. About the 27th. And a bit of good news! They only cost 94 cents each to post! Apparently they were lighter than estimated!

Next up will be Europe and South America. I may send Eastern Europe theirs a day ahead, since it is further away...

:iconbigheartplz: Aug 18th
I just want to thank all of you for supporting me in this.
I really could never have done it without you.
Here's the poem...
I'll start sending pieces of it out tomorrow.
SouthEast Asia, Australia, Africa are in the first batch. I'll have to check on others.
But then a few days later, I figure Europe and South America should go out.
Another day or two and North America gets mailed.

I checked on the postage, for everyone's budget, including mine.
Less than $2.00 US is the most expensive. Australia, and Singapore.
Around $1.75 US to Basically everywhere else outside of the USA.
Right at $1.50 for Mexico and Canada.
And however much our postage has gone up to today for the US.

:iconbigheartplz: I love you all! Aug 13th

Here are the screenshots of how well my love for my wife is covering the globe at the moment. As of Aug 13th

We are at the red pin! Here is where the letters will find my wife.

Europe seems to be nicely involved in my project.
And YAY! Someone from Africa brightened the dark continent!

In Southeast Asia, and Australia...
My dear friends, what would the world be without you rare few!

YAY! A representative of romance in South America!

And here is the first draft of my epic love poem.

Aug 10
The latest developments on the love letter project.
I figure I'll finish writing an epic love poem very soon.
I'll post the rough draft as soon as I can.
The tricky part is having the theme tie the parts together.
Each part has to stand up alone, and flow as my wife puts them in order.
It's possible that one or more may get lost along the way.
Some postal systems are really good, and some not so good.
But I'll have to trust that things will get delivered both ways.

The places represented so far...

USA, Alaska, Colorado, Texas, Florida, Utah, Connecticut, Ohio, California, and Washington
Finland
Poland
Canada, Ontario and Montreal
Great Britain, Yorkshire Northampton and London
Croatia
Mexico
Puerto Rico
Australia
France
Philippines

I don't suppose anyone knows someone on the continent of Africa.
And China is a big blank spot.
Mongolia would do since both China and Russia claim it.
...Maybe Hong Kong?
I might ask the woman who runs the Chinese restaurant if she can help. She seems nice.
I have a few notes out for South America, but no response yet.

I've placemarked all the towns on GoogleEarth. Would any of you be interested in seeing them?

The Request...

I have a project that I need your help with.

I want to send my wife love letters from around the world.
I'll send you the letter, postage money, or maybe a dA sub... and you send it back to my wife from your town.
If your curious what I'm going to write her, let me know, and I'll leave the envelope unsealed. Maybe I should anyway.

It doesn't really matter that much where you're from.
You just have to be willing to give me
an address where you'll get the letter.

Just let me know if you're willing.
