Fireplace

I made this solid oak fireplace mantel. The switch controls the fan that circulates air around the firebox. The warm air comes out of the grilles in the front. For the hearth, I laid up man-made marble tiles. You can see the ash and oak of the hardwood floor I laid beside it.
